White Box white wines are made from the
premium grapes grown on our vineyards in the both Heathcote and Yarra
Valley regions. The cooler climate of the Yarra Valley lends itself to
the production of the more subtle grape varieties, producing
more intensely flavoured and expressive white wines. The mild climate
of the Heathcote region allows more varietal expression of the fruit. |

White Box Yarra
Valley Chardonnay 2004
Gold in colour, with aromas of fig and coconut. The palate is
round and full, with grapefruit and pineapple flavours complemented by
complex yeast autolysis and malolactic fermentation characteristics.
French oak maturation lends structure and finesse, while well-balanced
acid gives exceptional length and a crisp, clean
finish.

White Box Yarra Valley Chardonnay
2005
Pale straw in colour. Aromas of nectarine and tropical fruit predominate. The palate
shows concentrated stone fruit flavours balanced with complex secondary characteristics derived from
partial malolactic fermentation and maturation on lees in French oak
barriques. Crisp acidity balances the natural fruit sweetness to give
a long, clean finish.

apricot and honeysuckle. The soft palate displays stone fruit flavours
and an appealing warmth, with hints of spice derived from
maturation in French oak.

combine with underlying herbaceous notes which linger through the delicate
and refreshingly crisp finish.
